The String Academy 2 provides orchestral instruction and performance opportunities to students who play the violin, viola, cello or string bass. The class meeting time and place will be determined in the fall. The participation fee for String Academy 2 is $290. Assistance with participation fees is available.
(note: minimum of one year of instruction required)
Very Important! Make sure you understand the commitment you are making. Attendance requirements will be strictly enforced.
Important! All members of String Academy 2 are expected to play the instrument they play in their Arts Umbrella ensemble in a band or orchestra at their school. School band and orchestra teachers will be contacted to verify participation in a school group. A very limited number waiver options are available. Please call Richard Long, the Arts Umbrella Program Director, if you have any questions regarding this policy.
