Eugene Youth Symphony
The Eugene Youth Symphony presents some of the greater Eugene/Springfield area's finest student musicians in exciting concerts featuring outstanding soloists and demanding orchestral music. All qualified musicians through age 21 may audition annually for membership.
The Eugene Youth Symphony meets Monday evenings between 6:45 and 9:00 p.m. in the Band Room at South Eugene High School. The EYS is a full symphonic orchestra and the maximum age for an EYS member is twenty-one years of age. The participation fee is $396. Assistance with participation fees is available. Auditions are held annually in the spring and fall.
Important policy information! All members of the Youth Symphony are expected to play the instrument they play in their Arts Umbrella ensemble in a band or orchestra at their school. School band and orchestra teachers will be contacted to verify participation in a school group. A very limited number of waiver options are available regarding this policy. Also, please make sure you understand the commitment you are making, as attendance requirements will be strictly enforced.
